Native news sources:
SHE GOT INTO A WHITE TRUCK — AND WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN
Her name is Latisha Candice Desiderio, but those who loved her called her “Sha.” On a summer day in 2023, a friend dropped her off at the parking lot of Bashas' Diné Market at Highway 57 and Indian Service Road 9. Witnesses saw Latisha climb into a white pickup truck. No one has seen or heard from her since.
Latisha was 33 years old when she vanished. She is Native American, 5'6" tall, and weighed about 150 pounds at the time of her disappearance. She has a small scar by her right eye and several tattoos, including her last name “Desiderio” on her left forearm, a rose on her right elbow, a cross on the base of her right pinky finger, and hearts with the names Darrelle, Clinton, Amberlee, Nicholas, and Rhett on her right forearm.
A parking lot. A truck with no license plate information. No make. No model. Just a disappearance — and silence that has lasted too long.
What happened after Latisha entered that white pickup truck?
Who was driving the vehicle that took her away from the last place she was seen?
And why has no one come forward with information that could help bring her home?
Latisha deserved safety, protection, and a chance to return to the people who love her. Her family deserves truth and answers long overdue.
