When the moon bled

There was a spirit who controlled the climate and all the ways of nature.

One day as the Mighty Spirit watched over is lands he noticed a small mouse hiding in the grass from prey.

He decided to help him and keep the hawks, falcons and eagles at bay.

He whispered to the mouse go ahead my child. I will protect you.

The mouse was overwhelmed with a sense of security and jumped out of the grass and across the field.

As he ran for the woods the Great Spirit was content to help his fellow creature to safety.

But, from the corner of his eye Great Spirit saw a crow dive for the mouse. He forgot to tell this species of bird to stay away.

Now the Great Spirit didn't want the mouse to die and did not want to hold the heart of the crow. So, he had no choice but to make decision. Only one life must end certainly not both.

The Great Spirit just clinched his fist and the crow was blown apart in the air. while the Mighty Spirit held the crows heart in his hand. And He painted the moon in crows blood in honor of him.
