The trial of Omaha Police Officer Scotty Payne starts on November 26, 2018. It is scheduled to last two weeks.
We need Native People and supporters to attend this trial EVERY DAY.
Please click here https://doodle.com/poll/b4r5apeutkdcgnuu and fill out the online form to show which days and times you can support the Bear Heels family and stand for justice.

It is set up for you to show if you can be there in the morning or afternoon of each of the ten days.

Please bring a friend or two.

Payne is charged with only assault of Zachary Bear Heels.
Payne tased him 12 times, and another officer punched him 13 times. Bear Heels was a mentally ill Native man who had committed no crime. He had done nothing wrong. He was not under arrest. He was sober and not under the influence of any drug.

Zachary Bear Heels died in police custody right after he was tased and beaten by the two officers, while two other officers watched.

The trial will be in Courtroom 411 on the 4th floor in the Douglas County Courthouse, 1701 Farnam Street, Omaha NE
